Viennese Shortbread Cookies
Lately, I somehow haven’t had either the time or the energy for complicated baking, but I still want something sweet with my coffee 😉. I found a solution for myself. What can I say? These are tender, crumbly, moderately sweet, incredibly delicious cookies — a wonderful option when you want something tasty and don’t feel like spending a long time cooking.

Ingredients
- 125 g soft butter
- 25 g powdered sugar
- 125 g flour
- 25 g cornstarch
- Vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
- 2 g salt

Preparation
-
Beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar until the mixture becomes fluffy and pale.

-
Sift the flour and cornstarch into the butter mixture and mix well (you can use a mixer on low speed).

-
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a nozzle. I recommend using the sturdiest bag possible, because the dough is quite firm and you don’t want it to burst (the first one I used did exactly that 😄). Pipe the cookies onto parchment paper.

-
Bake at 180°C until lightly golden.

That’s it! You can lightly dust the finished cookies with powdered sugar and enjoy.
Bon appétit 🥰
